There are lots of places to eat in at Cardiff Bay.

There is a 1950s diner that features in an episode of Dr Who in Cardiff Bay.

we do have a car ,dd will be 17 yrs old . ideally we would like to try a steak house if theres one nearby.
We are staying at the Future Inn which apparently is only a short walk from the Dr Who experience.

Whats the best shopping area ?

That's easy then, there is a steakhouse right by the Future inn (practically in the Future inn car park) that's supposed to be good

As for shopping, you want to head into the centre of Cardiff which is about 15 mins walk from you and go to the St Davids shopping Centre or Queens Street (pedestriansed) which are right by each other.

The future inn is great actually, there is a cinema complex handy as well that has restaurants in. You'll be able to see it.

I wish there were more future inns around, head and shoulders above travelodge and not much more usually! Have fun

OP, if you sign up for the Miller and Carter newsletter you often get offers such as a free wine or soft drink each. There is one that we go to and the food is great (not been to the Cardiff one)
  • I'd agree with the above, we went to the Doctor Who experience a few months ago and stayed at the Future Inn, it's in a fab location for it and so close to loads of restaurants around the Bay. If it's something you're into, there's also several locations around the Bay that feature in episodes, so might be worth looking them up before you go.
