Windows 8 Oxc000000f

Can I have some help please? Im getting this message when booting windows:

Youre PC couldnt start properly
A required device isnt connected or cant be accessed
Error code Oxc000000f
You'll need to use the recovery tools on you're installation media

It then says disk checking and then just turns the computer off.

Its a HP laptop and I followed the steps on the HP website to boot from disc but the option wasn't there to boot from disc, so I disabled secure boot and enabled legacy boot and it finally gave me the option to boot from CD.

It said loading windows files, then says The system recovery file does not exist, and it might be already removed. The discs came with the laptop and are still in the original packaging so they havent been damaged unless they are just faulty.

Any ideas please?

Did you change the Boot order in the BIOS? I think you want to put the DVD/CD drive and USB drives above the HDD in the order if you're having problems.

I think I would try putting it back to UEFI boot mode (from Legacy) as well though - recovery disks should be able to boot in UEFI mode, and if you leave it in legacy mode, it may not be to read the hard disk.
