    A sturdy paint scraper at the cut end to see if you can lever it out and pull it off - you may have to help it a bit along the length. If you do any minor damage it's simple to fill with polyfilla or similar.

    B&Q etc are ok, but your local wood yard might have longer lengths and more styles.
