Have you plugged the new router direct into the bt test point ?

It's found by removing 2 screws on the front of the main socket and pulling the bottom section away

This eliminates all your extension wiring

You do have filters on all extensions including sky boxes, alarm systems, faxes etc ?

Sounds like a filter has gone. Unplug everything from your phone line apart from your router then see if it works.
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?

laz 123 - it happens to more than 1 laptop , smart phone etc so i'm fairly sure it isn't the pc end of things

browntoa + wtfh , i have used another filter , the phone line is the only thing connected , don't have sky ,alarm etc ..

macman , haven't tried a cable , will do that later today ....

    cheers guys

Well, that's the first thing to check. If it's then OK, you only have a wireless issue.

Have you checked the router stats to see if its actually losing connection to the net or just your wifi signal?

My speed drops when the missus puts the microwave on.
