Anyone got one of these and got it to work in repeater mode

Got one off Amazon , booklet is useless, web site talks about old versions of the firmware

Spent several hours trying to get it to work properly in repeater and bridge modes , changed IP addresses etc had it sort of working but not well

I'm au fait with these sort of devices as done trials for BT on occasions for wireless extenders and power line etc

Looks like it's going back otherwise as forums seem to say it's flakey

The quick set up seems to set it up but it never actually works !

what version firmware has it got?

if you cant set it up with ..._131211 version, roll it back to 130314 i guess and follow online guides.
    sorry if this is obvious.

Want to leave it " out of the box" as it's probably going back

Decidedly not as advertised unless you want an access point

a lot of these things never seem to work as advertised, some set up in any mode a piece of cake, others are like this....not helpful i know, but the truth :( tplink are normally pretty good, perhaps you've just got a duff one...

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

I use one of these as "Baby Blue Router", no problems but not often used.

I assume you've found the 175-page User Guide PDF on the TP-Link website? Mine says "Rev: 1.0.0 1910010547" at the bottom right.
