Glue for repairing Slippers

My slippers are coming adrift
The uppers are peeling off the soles
I need some strong but flexible glue to stick them - something like rubber adhesive - but much stronger (to bond fabric to rubber)
Any suggestions ?

I've repaired many a pair of slippers with the bog standard Uhu type glue that comes in tubes. It's always done a pretty good job. I wrap an elastic band around the upper & the sole to hold it together & leave it to dry overnight. It's never failed to hold fast.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
