children party organisers are they CRB checked..?

This is difficult, do you know if this is the person's main source of income, or a second job? If it is the latter then they may already have CRB clearance if their main job involves working with children. Likewise if they are involved in helping with a children's voluntary group like cubs.
If you come into contact with vulnerable groups in more than one place (e.g. teacher at a school and governor at another school) you need seperate checks.

one of my exes :rolleyes: was a party entertainer and he was crb checked but Im not sure if that was because of another job that he had

Sorry, I should have explained that better, I meant to say that if they worked with children they would have had at least one check made on them.0 -
When my OH worked as a taxi driver he had 3 done, 1 by the county council, 1 by the district council and 1 by the employer.

Totally agree. Just use common sense.
Do not use the CRB check as an excuse not to be sensible. People only fail a CRB check if they have been caught out.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
