If I downsize does that entitle me to a rebate on the monthly payment?

I have a car on a lease agreement, paying £303 per month. I have decided to downsize to a smaller model and will be paying £139 per month. I have only just agreed the deal with the dealer, nothing signed yet. I think I will get the new car in about a week. My next monthly payment for my current car is due on the 12th February. Lets say for arguments sake I have the new smaller car by next Friday. Then that will mean that I have only had the benefit of the larger car for 2 days. It would seem unfair that I would have to pay the full £303 for a whole month. Is it reasonable to get a refund for the difference? Is it something that is done on a regular basis? I have to pay £300 bridging insurance as it is so if I was able to get a rebate for the part monthly payment for the current car that would help a lot.
I know I could ask them but it would be useful to know if people do get this, just incase they try and say no.
Any advice would be really appreciated,
Thanks

Surely this is nothing more than a contractual issue? Ie read the contract and see if there are any terms relating to changes to the agreement. Or ask the dealer how it works.
Not sure that there are any specific legal rights in this situation though.0 -
I'm surprised you can get out of a lease. Are you sure it is not a PCP?
Anyway you better get this sorted before you get double charged. Get final quotes from dealer.0
