Flood disaster..

Thanks Wendy - were you involved in the floods? We just managed to miss them (on the edge of the city) but they were truly unbelievable. I thought Boscastle was awful, but the South Yorkshire floods and the terrible loss of lives has left me dumbstruck. Places I visit regularly became death traps and its truly a miracle that no one else died. (The images from someones mobile phone of the lady trying to cross the Wicker that was on the "stars" website were unimaginable!!). And its still bloo*y raining!!!!

HI,,ME AND MY FAMILY WERE ON HOLIDAY THIS WEEK IN NORTH YORKSHIRE ,,ON WED THERE WAS A FLASH FLOOD AT FILEY,,WE WERE IN ON THE MAIN ROAD BETWEEN SCARB ,PRIMROSE VALLEY ,AND FILEY,,WE GOT STUCK IN THE FLOOD ,IN A TRIANGLE ,,NO WAY OUT,,IT WAS SCARRY,,HAD AFTER HOURS OFF WAITING,,WE DUMPED THE CAR AND HAD TO WALK THROUGH THE FLOAD..MILES FROM WERE WE STAYED.,,GOT THE CAR BACK LATE THAT NIGHT,,WE ENDED UP LEAVING AND COMING HOME NEXT DAY,,DID NOT WANT TO GET STUCK AGAIN,,WE HAVE IMAGES IT ON OUR PHONE...
STILL LOTS OFF RAIN TO COME,,,,,I FEEL SO SORRY FOR ALL THE LOCAL PEOPLE WHOS HOMES ARE DISTROYED IN THE FLOOD..AND HOPE THAT IT STOPS SOON,,AND NO ONE GETS SERIS HURT..
