So, if the government like a quick profit and they are selling, it must mean they don't see more quick profit coming over the summer?Fuzzythinking wrote: »A quick profit?

Investors have confidence in the share price rising
So they sell their shares
And make a quick profit

Whether the government holds the shares or not is nothing to do with confidence.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -

It is amazing to see people keep debating whatever it is worth to buy it or not. Here is my message for you guys, buy them and see what happen in April.
In fact I have done it way back in 2012 and making decent profit but I have not sold any of them yet because it is an obvious that it will rise above 85p when sun comes out of our miserable clouds in Spring.

On Thursday they'll be an opportunity to take a closer look when the 2013 results are announced. What will be key is the core profit that Lloyds makes. Once all the fog and mist is stripped away from the reported loss for the year.
Also what will be key is Lloyds tier one capital ratio. As the ability to pay future dividends may be limited if Lloyds has to retain profit to meet regulatory thresholds.0 -

There is no retail offer in April only to institutions.
The retail offer may take place in the Autumn.0
