Morning all,
blowing hard outside, with a grey sky over it. Not nice. The rubbish bag from the rented/ student house across the road is still blowing up and down the hill.
Going to spend a happy morning going through the summer clothes to see what we've got and if anything is needed.
Pen pushing afterwards - less than 100 to go now.
HM lentil soup for lunch. Quorn korma tonight.
Stay warm and safe xI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Morning all,
Had a nice lie in today. Going to have a a leisurely breakfast. My beds stripped and the sheets in the wash.
Shall have a good clean after breakfast and pop to Mr T's for a couple if things I couldn't get from Mr A's yesterday.
DGS has a very sore throat and is a bit warm so he will be kept inside in the warm today
I'm loving the Winter Olympics. Tonight we shall try the new Belgian drama on in place of the Bridge that I thought was wonderful from start to finish. I love the fact that they don't all look like models like they do in many English and American programmes.
Hubby is chomping to get outside in the garden but it looks very windy.
Dd has just popped to the library with instructions to bring me something to read, luckily she knows my taste

Hi everyone,
Happy birthday for yesterday JO.
It's DH's birthday today so we are off to spend the weekend with DD in London. We're going to see Strangers on a Train tonight and tomorrow night DD and I are going to see the Strictly show (her BF bought her the tickets for Christmas).
I wrote my part of the tribute to mum for the funeral on Thursday, it was nice to remember her as she was when I was growing up before she became ill.
Have a good day.0 -
Hi all,
Another one not posting much, but am reading.
Love n hugs to all those who have lost loved ones or having a carp time in general x
I,ve had a weird couple of days - OH in day surgery on Thursday to have a 'thing' removed from his foot, so no driving, walking etc for a few days. Then DD was in day surgery yesterday to have 3 teeth removed, so I have had 2 days off work to sit in hospital !!! The staff were brilliant, especially with DD who came out of anethetic on a complete high and thought she could just walk out to meet her friends at the pub!!!! She then got very tearful and blamed me for not letting her 'have a life' - wonderful staff carefully explained to her and me that her brain was addled and for me to ignore what she was saying/doing - at this point I could have cheerfully removed the rest of her teeth. All ended well in the end - will drop off a box of choccies to the staff to say sorry/thankyou.
Was up early today, went shopping, thought I was going to take off the wind was so strong, just got home when the heavens opened - in comparison we,ve been lucky, living on the coast - heart goes out to all those that have been flooded and worse x
Will spend rest of the weekend cooking and chilling out along with nursemaid duties:o
Wow long post - will shut up nowNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Weather is very changeable , sun one minute then howling wind and driving rain. Don't think I need to go out today though .
Dh has another migraine , he had a nasty one a couple of days ago and now has woken up with a nasty headache , no flashing lights or visual disturbance this time though .
Dd2 is still in bed
Jobs for today : make bread , clean kitchen , washing and a general tidy . I feel so tired just sitting is taking effort so I may not complete my list

snoozer happy birthday to dh hope he has a lovely day
Must get off my bum and do something although I'm enjoying watching the winter olympics
Have a good day everyone xx0 -
Hi
It's sunny & blowy here so I've hung the washing on the line, downstairs loo & the kitchen have had a good bottoming, I'm sitting with a cuppa & my knitting & deciding what to do next, probably the stairs
Hubby needs collecting at 1ish & hopefully will be able to play in the garden this afternoon.
DD bought me some beautiful red tulips last weekend & they are still going strong, I'm really surprised as tulips usually fade very quickly & my Imbolc Narcissus is in full bloom, they cheer the room up no end.
Right, back to the knitting, I'm determined to have 6 cardies knitted by the time the twins arrive

Afternoon all,
Just got back from dropping OH at his hockey match and picked up some fruit and salad bits while I was out. Wow it is windy out there!

Right, I've finished my soup and bread so time to get some more of today's jobs done: washing, general tidy up and making something to use up some lemons that are getting past their best.
Emma
P.S. I've been meaning to ask, do people usually click 'Thanks' when they are reading through the posts? I noticed I have a lot of thanks and have not been giving them back!0 -
