Is my lawn mower faulty?

I hope someone can offer some advice on this please.
I've got an electric cordless Bosch lawn mower which is about 2 years old and has been fantastic. However, I've noticed that it's got louder. It doesn't sound faulty, just louder than it was.
Is an increase in volume part of the "ageing process" for a lawn mower, or is it something a service could address?
For what it's worth, I had a cheaper flymo before and that got louder after a few years too.

I would of thought the bearing would be a sealed unit and non serviceable, unless you are prepared to do it yourself but cost may out weight replacement of mower.
If you are prepared to work on it find out the bearing size and details then go to a place that specialises in bearing's and such like not the shop where u bought it.
it may be a loose mounting bolt that u could tighten yourself or even a loose blade.
failing this just run it until it diesSpending my time reading how to fix PC's,instead of looking at Facebook.0 -
It's wearing out, clearances get greater and the noise increases,
Get your hand readily deep in your pocket:D;)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
Bum. I thought it was probably on the way out. Hopefully a few more summers at least.
Looking towards my eventual replacement, for an electric mower that probably isn't meant to be serviced, what's the best way to extend it's life span? Is it just the obvious stuff like avoiding going over twigs or not emptying the grass box on time? I mention these two things as I imagine I may have been careless enough to do both sometimes!0
