Kindle without an amazon account

Hi,

Wonder if anyone knows how to do this please?

From amazon I downloaded some free book for my youngish sons new hudl. All good whilst I sign into kindle app with my amazon details. BUT I don't want him accidentally downloading more chargeable books by accident whilst logged into my account and I cant see a way to logout of kindle and still see them on the kindle reader?

Does anyone know of a workaround or another free app that would let me/him read these free books?

Can you set up a new Amazon account with no card details? Or delete them from yours (but you'd have to type them in again when you actually wanted to pay for something).

That's was my alternative ( great minds )

Maybe as hes 8 I'll register it under his mum who has no account.

Do you have a Kindle or other reader yourself?

If you do then download Calibre onto your PC.

You can then copy the books from your reader to the Calibre library then connect the Hudl and upload the books. No need for any account and you can still read the book via the Kindle app.
