You just know that if you got all that for them their favorite place would still be on the clean washing :D

    I've been Money Tipped!
We stayed in a hotel in France with a room especially for cat owners once, the hotelier said to us, 'your girls will love it'. We wondered why. Our cats are pretty good travellers anyway, and we went in and got out their try put them on it,before even looking about. The only different thing was that the walls and ceiling were carpeted.

As our girls don't scratch carpets we didn't think this would be of much interest to them.

    How wrong we were.

They cats literally climbed the walls, ran over the ceiling, swung off it like strange little marmosets. It was incredible. Ever since we have wanted to carpet a room for them....it really was the most incredible thing.

When we checked out the hotelier, said.....'they, like the room, yes? Cats, they love it!'

Having just bought the Ancol Fatboy cat post to try and save my door frames from further damage and also thought it would work out cheaper than a new door frame, it's looking like the door frame wins and I have a new ornament taking up room in the name of a highly recommended cat post :o

So the speaker in the picture.........

PS if your considering the fat boy post, although it looks great it's a nightmare to put together, how hard you may ask can it be to fit two bolts to a post? Bliddy nightmare when the top of the post is padded and doesn't fit flat on the floor and the base comes in two parts, (folded but covered in a single piece of furry stuff, which keeps folding as you try to put the bolts in). Two people and patience required to build this, but it is solid when built.

PPS I have to admit it does look good and I like the idea of the carpeted room for the cats to literally bounce off and climb the walls.

Or under the duvet on the fresh white bed linen. Mine are black longhairs who only groom in the bed, on DD's white carpet or on the white sofas! They would look scathingly at that lot as if to say "us - why would we want to use that?"

do 'Ikea' do Cat stores now then?
  • youll be surprised how cheap you could have that built.

get the wood you desire, some rope, some baskets, some carpet or cloth (B an M settee throw £12.99? two of?) some carpet tubes from your local carpet shop for the ceiling to floor pole.

find a local carpenter to cut, shape, sand, and seal wood and make wooden wall brackets.
