cold feet - credit card company side

Options
Hi all
4 years ago, I got a Barclaycard - then suddenly literally a day after I'd had it and not spent anything on it, Barclays phone up "we're cancelling it, we can't give reason, please cut up your card"
so I did..

and I thought "ok my credit rating must have been so borderline barclays were doing a catherine tate on me,...but yes but no but yes but no and sent me the card before it figured out it didn't like me"

now, years later, I hvae scored a nice platinum which I've had for a month now and have spent on it. My credit rating is a lot better but I still have that niggle in my mind from the last time

.....isn't it 14 days their side to cancel , or can they pull this indecisive stunt any time they like?
cheers
Andy

I've heard of Barclays cancelling cards after they've already been posted but I didn't know that they were that abrupt and didn't even give you a reason!

You should be ok. They normally do the old 'open/close' trick quite quickly.

I think life is too short to worry about the whys and wherefores of what happened 4 years ago, especially as you now have a credit card.

Don't spend your life looking back thinking what should have been for the past is just that, but the future is yours to create. :A
