Life After PPI

Sorry if this has been talked about but I've looked through pages and can't see anything.

Basically my situation is this, I phoned Halifax over a year ago and spent near 20 to 30 minutes on the PPI line having my accounts looked in to, end result, No sir no PPI was ever on your accounts. I took this on face value I have been with them for over 20 years. Then someone at work said just try this claims company as they got £5000 back, so I phoned them long story short all the account they looked in to for me which was 11 in total came back clean apart from 6, and all 6 were with the Halifax, at this moment I have had about £1,300 back from 4 account and awaiting a decision on the final 2 accounts.

SO QUESTION is do you think I can approach the Halifax to refund me the money I have had to pay the Claims people due to the Halifax lying to me not once by taking PPI against my knowledge but lying twice by telling me over the phone PPI was never taken.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

thank you

Basically no you cant. You employed the claims management company to do it for you so its between you and them. All they do is send a frivolous letter and nothing you couldn't have done yourself.

But there's nothing to stop you making a complaint about being told incorrect information.
