London is just completely detached from reality (and most of the country). Well, at least my rent isn't budging. Thankfully, my landlord has been in the business for years and I believe owns the property outright.

A friend of mine has just paid 60K more than I did four months ago for a one bed flat, same size as mine, and in not as nice as block about two mins walk from where I live.
