hi
looking to get a new cooker hood. cant duct it outside so it will be operated in recirculating mode.
i contacted electrolux about one of their models and it says to replace charcoal filter every 3/4 months. in reality we may be able to use this for 6 months maybe if there is not a lot of frying on hob! filter costs £24 odd.
They told me there is a reusable long life filter which costs about £45 plus few more fixings which are another £25 odd. so you can probably get your money back in 12 months or so depending on how often you change your normal filter.
Has anyone used these long life carbon filters and any experiences? i dont know how they can be "re-used".
Electrolux mentioned something about washing and then heating them up but the guy wasnt so sure as he didnt have a manual with him.
Thanks
J
