work dismissal-what next?!?

Hi, I've been absent from work for 13 months due to ill health. They decided to dismiss me from my post so I'm wondering what will happen now.
I have been claiming ESA but this is due to end in June, I'm am unlikely to be able to return to work then so I'm wondering what will happen? Is there another benefit I could apply for? I don't currently receive any other benefits.

Also I'm not sure where to post this but I'm wondering if anyone could help-my employer will be paying me around £5500 in notice/annual leave etc. I know I'll be heavily taxed on this but I'm wondering if I can reclaim any if this since this will be the only payment I've received since June 2013.

Thanks in advance x

What, if any, ESA group are you in?

Have you had any sort of assessment?

Not sure about the tax reclaim, but I expect someone on here will know.

    Hey
I'm not in any group? Not sure what that means sorry!

I had an ATOS assessment on Tuesday (the same day I was dismissed!) so I haven't heard from them yet, the lady said it'd be 2-4 weeks

I got ssp from April-June around £650 in total I think.

I'm pretty sure my ISA is income based

I thought maybe they'd take tax then I'd have to reclaim it or wait for a rebate since it will be paid like a normal wage?

The money is 8 weeks notice (paid in lieu) and annual leave from 2012/13 and 2013/14
