A lot of wishful thinking here.
A lot of wishful thinking here.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Nice to put faces to the two ladies from the court transcript mentioned on PP's blog.0

They'll wriggle more than a Hula Girl before saying they won't pay up. I see PE say they have a contract dated just before the court case, if so why did they not show it???I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Because the contract needed to be dated before the INCIDENT.0 -

Notice the page said
'The Range declined to comment.'
Let's hark back to their oft repeated facebook reply.
'We brought in a two hour parking limit as we found that our car parks were being abused by motorists that were not shopping in our store and were using the car park as free parking while they went elsewhere. This prevented our valued customers from parking on site.'
If this was true they only had to repeat it to a local paper.0 -
Nice to see Lainiee's OH comments on the article.
Looks like Parking Eye did not have permission from the Landowner as the Range do not own the site either.
Lorraine deserves as much compensation as she can get for the aggravation, harassment and stress she has endured. I still think though that Parking Eye should be included in this claim - mainly due to the fact they do not have locus standi to bring claims in their own name - and Parking Eye have deep pockets and be bought to book.
(Oh does this count as a forum vendetta?)
Go BenefitMaster!
Bumped up The range again also!0 -
The vendetta is Parking Eye against the shopper who parks their cars on someone else's land. And don't you know it Parking Eye? Yes you do. Scum is a word that aptly befits you. Want to take me to court for saying that? PM me.Got a ticket from ParkingEye? Seek advice by clicking here: Private Parking forum on MoneySavingExpert.:j0

I see that someone made the comment that the BPA should boot Parking Eye out - and Mrs Lemon confirmed they did not receive any sanction points even after changng the signs. The same person didn't realise that Parking Eye are the biggest parking company and pay the most in fees to the BPA and for the operation of the AOS and IAS ....
The BPA really are not fit for purpose - pretending to operate a code of practice where if their members breach they will be awarded sanction points - hardly any are ever issued and certainly not to Parking Eye - even when they refuse to give out POPLA codes.
Perhaps if anyone is up against a breach of the code - they should include the BPA in a joint and several clam.0
