Laptop Power Adapter/Charger

Can I use a 90W adapter when my original Dell adapter was 65W? What will it do to the battery/laptop?

    Providing the output voltage and polarity are correct, yes.

    Ive now checked. Both the original charger and the new charger are 19.5V. So Im good to go I think....
