Dro and getting a pt job.

Hi, and thanks for reading.....
I was accepted for a dro last May and have not been in work as I took extended unpaid maternity leave from my job. I'm not returning to my old job as we have since moved and looking to find a part time job around 10 hours or so.... I'm not on any benefits or receive any tax credits or child benefit. So here's the info....I'm married and my husband earns a good wage...however I'm ashamed to say the debt was all mine from years of over spending etc and it was not my husband responsibility to pay towards my debts so I opted for a dro. Just looking for advise really do I just accept that I can't really look for work until the year on dro is complete or if I started a job would I need to declare it and possibly risk the dro.
Appreciate any advise from anyone who has got a job while on a dro.

  • When you entered the DRO an income expenditure sheet would have been drawn up. What did that show?

If taking a part time job means that your surplus income is still below £50, then your DRO will not be affected.
