    dinglebert - there is a plan to sell of GP records to private firms.. this isn't about data sharing between primary and secondary care

    Scaremongering nonsense - if any data is provided to organisations outside the NHS it will not be capable of identifying individuals.

    I am sure we all want safeguards but personally I don't care if they use my data and if using it helps with research so much the better.

    How is this for a conspiracy theory;

    WTFH and ringo_24601 are different personalities of the same person and they do not individually realise it, ala "Identity"

    "Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."

    Forum posts are not legal advice; are for educational and discussion purposes only, and are not a substitute for proper consultation with a competent, qualified advisor.
  • I do believe it's a good thing. However, I'm concerned about the Police and other government agencies having a backdoor to my medical data. According to this article the police won't need to go to court anymore to access the data. http://www.theguardian.com/society/2014/feb/06/police-backdoor-access-nhs-health-records

    There have been many improvements in treating some medical conditions brought about by this type of medical data sharing. Diabetes is one example.
