  • Lulu, I had brown spotting from the day AF was due and am still getting it sporadically now - it is not necessarily a bad sign.

That's good to hear - gives me some hope :) I've still got a very little brown CM but AF pains have stopped.

How frustrating for you Lulu. So annoying teasing you when you just want to know. I think the best bet is to do another FRER (if you have one) with your FMU and see what you get then? FC for you.

Lulu, sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I've taken so so many pg tests in my life and have had that evil line a lot of times with those tests, they are notorious for it. I've never had a BFP when ive had one of these lines, but had my hopes raised and dashed so so many times. Generally if the FRER is saying no I would bin the blue line as an evap/blue line test error, lots and lots of stuff via Google about this happening.
I hope it's is a BFP for you and that I'm wrong but I don't think so.
    Sorry

Rampant Recycler I've been Money Tipped!
Thanks for the honesty. Obviously I want it to be right but if the FRER is a BFN chances are I'm not.

I feel really stupid but I know it's not my fault that these tests are ridiculous. Don't even know whether to tell OH or if it would unnecessarily get his hopes up.

Hi everyone, hoping I can join you in this journey. It looks a lovely positive board and the roll of BFP's are amazing!

I'm just back from the docs as Ive had really bad period pain since coming of the pill 5 months ago and it's now disrupting my work. He asked lots of questions and he was really nice. Unfortunately he mentioned PCOS :( I've to go back for blood tests next week and then another mid cycle as he wants to check my hormones and thyroid. My heads spinning as I only went in thinking I'd get strong pain killers!

Anyways I should be ovulating soon, and then the fun begins :)

ETA New name but old user but some people in my real life know my old user and I can't have them knowing I've been trying to concieve and all the personal stuf that goes along with it!

Welcome Ali, hope your stay is short.

What were your periods like before you took the pill? If they have always been bad it's more likely to be endometriosis then pcos.
  • Hi pm04gn, thank you for the welcome:)

I originally went on the pill at age 14 due to extreme menstrual cramps - to help me focus at school and pass my exams. I've never been off it until recently- at 30!! so it's all new to me!

Would you know it the blood tests he's lined up will help with what you suspect?

I'm quite upset about that there might be something wrong, but at least if there is, it's been discovered early (only 5 months in) and I can do things to help. Hopefully. He did say that 80% of couples conceive within 11months so that's envouraging too :)

Fingers crossed for everyone waiting for their BFP and positive thoughts for the journey for all xxx

The blood tests will rule lots of things out, you may well end up with a scan or even a fun trip to gynae!

Even with some of the gynae problems your chances of conceiving are still good so young be disheartened. Plus when you do get pregnant your symptoms will be gone for 9+ months, bonus!

Can't say too much without being caught out for giving medical advice but hopefully that helps.
  • Completely understand pm04gn, I will wait and see what the blood tests say and then mention it if everything comes back normal :)

I'm currently awaiting ov, and this is my first month using opks too :o it's the simple things!
