    Fingers crossed for you weesmiler!

    Sorry for your CD1 musogirl

I went through my diary today and realised I miscalculated when AF was due, so I'm not actually past AF yet though I was starting to get my hopes up :( it's supposedly due Thursday so we will see but I think it will show up. Not feeling very positive!

Hi everyone, just dropping in with an update (for those that remember my fairly recent posts re: bleeding and upcoming scan). I had the scan this morning (at what I thought was 6w 3 days) and they found a tiny little heartbeat (it was so tiny it took me a while to spot it even with the lovely sonographer pointing it out - it reminded me of a little candle, the way it was flickering) and they have put me back a week for dating purposes. The sonographer said the bleeding probably was implantation - I'm not entirely convinced (and neither was my GP) but either way it doesn't matter - just glad everything is ok. Hopefully everything will be straightforward now.

    ooooooh congratulations MrsSippi

I'm a long time lurker, who joined the waiting ttc in the summer, but things have progressed sooner than I thought, damn those baby making urges!! Would you mind if I joined you lovely ladies here...?

    A little about me, i'm 37, OH is 38, ttc #1 since 10/14
I have 1 ovary and endometriosis, so expecting this to take while.
I've been tracking my cycle for over 12 months, taking pre-conception vitamins since June, and started using OPK's in July.
I'm fairly sure I ovulated in July, not convinced I did in August, and should be ovulating any time now, but the OPK's aren't giving anything away at the minute - so i'm a little confused to say the least!

Does anyone else have experience of nothing showing with OPK's, but getting pg despite it?

Wishing you all a short a stay as possible, baby dust to all xx

  • Welcome Cherrylips! I'm ttc #1 so can't offer any advice about opks and pregnancy but I'm sure one of the lovely ladies will be about to answer soon :)

Weesmiler I had a look on the pink pad forum but as I haven't got a log in I couldn't see the usernames sorry :(
  • Well this AF is not like previous ones! TMI alert!

A normal period for me (years ago and now since pill) usually starts with light spotting in the afternoon/evening, with a proper flow coming in overnight.

Yesterday I noticed a smear of pink on the loo roll after wiping and assumed AF was starting. Over the course of yesterday evening there was another couple of pink wipes but nothing on pad. Went to the loo a couple of times overnight and there was nothing on paper or on pad. On wiping first thing this morning there was a tiny clot of brown blood but again nothing on pad. I'm now getting pink wipes again but completely clean pad. Very confused!

Does this mean that I can't count yesterday as CD1? Any thoughts?

I wouldn't count yesterday as CD1 as I think you start counting from a proper flow rather than spotting.
It may be implantation bleed which can happen 6 - 12 days after OV but also may be some spotting before AF (which I get sometimes). It's so difficult to know and frustrating as you so want it to be because you're pg!
Fingers crossed for you that it is implantation bleed.

Thanks, I'm crossing everything! It's so unlike my normal pattern, but really don't want to get my hopes up.

I'm pretty sure I've got a BFP now

But now I think it's a chemical pregnancy. Does anyone have experience of this? I read somewhere that 50-60% of first pregnancies end this way :(

I will wait it out for the next few weeks and see how it goes xx

Why do you think it's a CP? Keeping everything crossed for you...
