2ba3C - don't worry, I don't think it's personal. I stopped posting here as no one ever responded to my posts asking for advice. I think everyone is just understandably wrapped up in their own ttc journey.:A26/5/14 - Baby Neve - left footprints on my heart0

I think how you find this board depends on what you use it for. The posts that ask for advice often get missed because someone announces AF or in the worst scenerio a CP or MC - & understandably posters repond to that with words of comfort.
At the end of the day this is a MSE board rather than a specific ttc/pregnancy area. I use it as it's not as intense as a specific board, but I lurk on the specific ones to find answers to most of my queries. This board is fantastic to vent, chat & discuss the murkier side of ttc that perhaps you can't talk to your family/friends about - afterall, it's easier to vent to strangers right?
I agree that everyone is 'wrapped up' in their own ttc journey, of course we are! It's exciting/confusing and all consuming, even if we don't want to admit that sometimes. That doesn't make this board pointless, it just means we might not all be the best advisors sometimes.
Please don't be put off posting, and don't be afriad to repost if we've missed something you really need to talk about. Just understand ttc makes the best of us a bit distracted at timesDS - 08/15

Hi I was hoping to join you all...
I've always been a proud career girl, but i turned 30 a few months ago and something very strange happened - I have had a total change of heart and now would love a family! OH always has (i've been with him for over 10yrs) and is absolutely delighted, so 6 weeks ago I came off my pill and began taking Folic Acid and apart from that and the obvious deed, don't know what else to do:rotfl:
anyways I'm sure I'll pick up the lingo, and i'm sorry if this is TMI, but i'm still figuring out my cycle, as I've been on the pill for 14years, I had my first 'proper' period (id forgot how awful it was!:( )on saturday 13th September so I think I'm now on day 8? anyways although I don't think i'm fertile just yet (and after being on the pill for 14yrs who knows what my cycle is!) OH wanted some practice in this morning:rotfl: I think he's scared I change my mind :rotfl: Scary but exciting at the same time as it was the first time without some form of contraception.
So a total newbie here, and really don't want to talk to friends and family about my change in heart, until (and if) i get pregnant.... then Im sure I'll be able to deal with the "told you so's / knew you would come round eventually" comments!:p0 -
Hi A fresh start and welcome . Lovely that you are choosing to start a family.
So sorry your post was missed 2ba3c. Also sorry you do't feel anyone responds to you Frankie, we were here together before so i'd hate for you to feel ignored.
Anyway currently 5dpo and trying to keep myself distracted.0 -
Well I am still waiting for af to appear. I am on cd 30 of a 'normal' 28/29 day cycle so I won't be surprised if she arrives today. I am 15/16 days passed my surge and no sign yet but still determined not to test until Monday morning as if she hasn't arrived by thenI think we have a good chance. I have done 2 tests about a week ago and one came up with a very faint second line and so did the second but tbh I got sidetracked with the second and didn't check the test for 25 mins by which time it said a second line can appear anyway so not really sure what to think. No doubt I'll be back on here in a couple of days on cd 1 but keeping everything crossed for now.
Has anyone else had a false positive through reading the test too late?0 -
Hi all,
I started temping, seriously have no idea what the hell I'm doing but will hazard a guess that I'm 8DPO so please can I be updated?
I've been having cramps all month since just after AF and during sex. I've been to see the dr who has referred me for a scan on 30th. Part of me expects something really bad, part of me expects a "nothing found" diagnosis and the dreamer side of me hopes we get a "well there's the heartbeat you're 8weeks pregnant" type of surprise!
Haha one can dream.
Hope everyone is ok, congratulations to BFPs and hugs to those who need them xPAD 2023 Debt total as of Dec 2022 £18,988.63*April £17,711.03
