Lulu, my understanding is it has a higher concentration of Hcg hormone, you can test any time of the day but the morning will be stronger so more likely to pick up the hormone.
Ah I suppose because you wouldn't have gone for a wee in hours, I like the logic. Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

I've had cramps for three weeks with no blood, apparently I'm not though. Test and find out, please!
If I remember right lulu you said you'd missed a few pills a few weeks before stopping? When I came off my pill in July I pretty much cramped constantly until AF came 37 days later, so your cramping might be because, like mine didn't, your body doesn't have a clue what's going on!DS - 08/15

Hello! So here I am at cd28 having had a 27 day cycle and 26 day cycle in my last two cycles! And still haven't had AF!
I am still trying not to get too excited because my anxiety has been high both about this, family stuff and work stuff so I still think there's a possibility that AF hasn't come because of stress. What has confused me is that this if my fourth day of feeling like AF is coming on and it hasn't yet. My last cycle it came on day 26 with no warning, I can't help but feel like the 4 days of cramping with no blood means pregnancy???
I'm so excited and nervous, but don't want to test for another day or two as I really don't want to get a negative because I've tested too soon! Does that sound silly??
Does anyone have any advice/words of wisdom?!! Feel like I'm going crazy!!
Your situation sounds almost exactly like my DW was a few weeks ago... a shorter cycle before and then AF not turning up by day 28... after testing early ourselves and seeing a fat load of BFN we got a BFP on day 29 (first thing in the morning wee!)
Good luck!0 -

Yeah I had missed the odd few every now and again and it started on a missed pill today which happened to be the first pill in a new back (was taking back to back) but it turns out it might be coeliac so could be a blessing in disguise! Officially off the pill now so we will see what happens!
Thanks for the heads up thoughOur Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

You are all so lovely and encouraging, thank you! Been advised by my friend who's a gp and mum of 2 to wait a few more days before testing. She said that she got a BFN at 5 1/2 weeks with her first baby. It will be easier to relax over the weekend, will try and forget about it for a bit!Save 12k in 2014 (my target: £10 000):

Did you do anything different this month?
Nothing much different, apart from, like a couple of people have just mentioned, it seemed to be a short cycle. I've been using CBFM and my peak days are always 13/14, this month they were 11/12 and tested on day 24. Also, no BD'ing on peak days as one of us wasn't around either day as them being early was a surprise, so day before and day after only - I thought this month was a no hoper !0 -
Eugh. So I've just had an OPK that looks exactly the same as my 'positive' did on Monday. Needless to say I'll be BDing tonight but I'm super confused as to what's going on. Had some mild cramping today and (tmi) sore nips, but both could be symptoms of ov or progesterone! Wish I'd have stopped BC a few months before ttc to get a handle on my cycles:mad:DS - 08/15

Hello so here I am back on cd1 All the excitement was for nothing! I have actually worked myself up so much I have made myself miserable and unwell. OH has said that we need to try and stop thinking about things so much and try to relax. He has suggested dtd every 2 to 3 days throughout the month and forget about predicting ovulation. It obvs hasn't worked the last 2 months anyway, so may as well forget about it!! Feeling very low at the momentSave 12k in 2014 (my target: £10 000):

So so sorry LisaJaneAs you can probably tell from my post above, I'm also getting stressed and worked up over predicting ov, & I think your OH's suggestion is really sensible and much more healthy. It's great that you have such a supportive partner
Maybe a glass of wine (or 3) is in order? Take care x
