Shed roofs

Hi...
I have 2 sheds in my garden, both of which need re-roofing...
The first is the larger 8 x 6 and the other is a smaller 6 x 4.
What's the best way forward?
Making new roof's - if so, what's the best wood to use?
Buying new wood roof's - where from and how much?
Buying new plastic / rubber / metal / perspex roof's?
If I wanted someone else to do these for me, where is best to get someone from - I'm in Coventry.
Thanks for any pointers
Matt

Assuming you currently have wooden sheds with the usual sloping or pitched roofs made of sheet wooden building board (also called OSB- oriented strand board) covered in black roofing felt, its an easy DIY job.
In fact unless the wooden sheet below the black covering has actually blown off or been badly damaged, you can probably get away with simply re-covering them with roofing felt, sometimes called mineral felt, and which usually comes in 1m x 10m rolls for under 20 quid.
Work along the roof, from the lower edge up, nailing the felt to the wood below with large-headed tacks and ensure overlap in such a way on the slope that water can't run under the joint. In other words, put a bit over the apex of the roof on last, so it has a good overlap on the bit below.
There's a B&Q video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTg3iEZ0g94
If you really need new sheet OSB, its about 20 quid for an 8' x4' sheet0 -
Corrugated iron or plastic would be my choice.0

Thanks for the replies - the OSB will need replacing as the covering has been off them for a while so now soaked through and caved in a little...
Thanks for the name and price guide of it.
Will await the brighter weather and give them a go.
Help appreciated.
