More student finance issues

Hello

A continuation of a sad earlier story. Basically my boyfriends parents were unwilling to support his student finance due to a fallout.

Anyway, it got signed and sorted at last. Now his mum is threatening to 'withdraw' the support after another breakdown of hers. Considering she doesn't support him in anyway I find it ridiculous, it costs her nothing.

Anyway my question is can you 'withdraw' as a sponsor and how would that affect his award? I believe he gets a grant due to their low income, he already has his payment schedule for the year.

How will it affect this year and possibly next?

Thank you. I know many will say just make up with her but she is emotionally, mentally and financially abusive so placating her is not a possibility. She has serious issues.

Generally his mother would be expected to complete the income section again, declaring her income for the relevant year.

She wouldn't be withdrawing as a sponsor, but failing to complete the appropriate forms will mean the loan doesn't get signed off.

Without that, BF could be left with nothing or only the basic loan that is paid to students with high earning parents.
