    Did she read the policy documents before she signed accepting the terms and conditions. If every person had to have all the terms and condiions explained verbally, they could be at it for hours, you are supposed to read them before siging.


    Cant see why she would expect to get any refund, father has had insurance since day one, if he had popped his clogs the policy would have paid out.
    Nothing wrong with that.

    It's insurance, not a savings scheme.

  • I suppose there is a possible argument that there was no insurable interest so it should never have been sold.

    However that would normally be picked up at the underwriting stage.
