Trust deeds and ppi

Hi
After reading lots of stories on here about people reclaiming whether either in or out of PPI then surely this would be easily settled initially by the banks your dealing with .I currently have been told i was mis-sold ppi and will be receiving £2,411 within 28 working days. Now i know for a fact i will receive nothing as a lot of the loan with RBS was cleared by a trust deed.So my thinking is why when banks take 8 weeks to investigate this do they not just say yes you have a claim BUT this will happen and you will receive £0 this surely will save a lot of people a lot of misery and hope no? i have successfully reclaimed ppi however very little so thought i would on my own chance it with RBS expecting zero...any answers would be appreciated..

Thanks

There is no "claim" (despite what you read), you are complaining about the sale, so you have to follow the complaints procedure set out by the bank and the FCA. They have up to 8 weeks then you can refer it to FOS. Not it takes 8 weeks.

They deal with complaints in date order and RBS have thousands of PPI complaints to get through, so you need to wait your turn.

what i was trying to say is that after they have fully investigated it ok..they say yes u are entitled too and send an offer ..ONLY then do they say no even after 12 years u owe us as u had a trust deed ...hope this makes it clearer...
