Can I ask when your complaint was first upheld? I know they are reviewing overdraft PPI from 2012 and have heard they are reviewing some loan refunds.

I submitted about 6 claims across several accounts that myself and my partner had had. 4 of them paid out, but 2 in my name said that they were unable to find details as the claims were for times that went back more than 6 years. But having read on here that some other forum members have had situations where they've had letters saying that they're not entitled to claim, or not even made any claims at all, and then had money paid into their bank accounts after their companies have done internal reviews, I could only assume that this would be the same with the money paid to us. However, nobody seems to have waited 22 days before getting a letter to confirm that the money was theirs and was from an old PPI claim.

The thing is, I'm not sure the money is even from Barclays, so there doesn't seem any point in calling the Barclays PPI number. Of the two claims that I had rejected because they were from more than 6 years ago, one was from a Barclaycard I had, and I think the other was an RBS card. Also, when my partner went into our Barclays branch and asked about the money, the cashier told her that he didn't think it was from Barclays or he'd have had more info on his screen.

I'm confused!!

Don't want to add to your confusion but I've just checked my online statements and
Received: Ppi & Int Refund
Ref:global ISD - Glo S
was the reference used when Barclays credited my additional Ppi redress into my account.

Hope letter explaining all arrives soon!

Well I think we need to pop back in and have another word with our Barclays branch, or maybe I should try the PPI number you suggested.

Can I just check, your PPI, was it on a Barclays account, or a Barclaycard please?

when I first rang the bank they told me at first they didn't know where the payment had come from but they looked into it and found it was from the ppi claim back in 2012 even though I had already a payment back then for the ppi. My payment showed the same. Ode as yours but I did receive a letter confirming this about 3 weeks after the payment.

I have checked my online banking and found a mystery PPI payment of nearly £4000 in my account credited by Global ISD
I had a payments for Ppi which dated back to 1998 and wondered if the shad been miscalculated

After reading similar threads I amin limbo as to what I should do??
Has everyone received their letters of confirmation from Barclays now

I too have received a random refund and int payment in my Barclays bank account. I have got a claim in with the Financial Ombudsman which I first submitted in 2012 regarding ppi on my Barclays overdraft as I was annoyed with the way Barclays had handled my ppi claim but I have not received any letter from either Barclays or the Financial Ombudsman about this refund. I really don't want to spend the money until I get confirmation that It is really mine. I can only hope a letter turns ups soon or I may not be able to resist spending it.......

Letter arrived 4 days later in my mums case.
