CPP parking ticket- ICC legal services notice of legal proceedings

Hi, firstly I have read the stickys on the forum relating to this topic but don't think I've quite found the answer.
I recieved a windcreen sticker parking notice back in novemeber of last year. My ticket was out of time/from a previous day. I have recieved a few letters from CCP themselves; the usual reduced rate if paid in x number of days, then the full amount then case is going to be handed over to legal agent etc.etc.
I ignored these letters as I thought hey if they aren't being sent via recorded delivery then there's no proof that I've ever recieved it, I'm not going to acknowledge that I have any idea of what's going on. Anyway this week I recieved a pink letter from ICC legal services threatening legal proceedings if the charge of £110 is not paid within the next few days.
My plan is simply not sign for any letters if they do send them via recorded delivery as I've been told by several people that if I ignore it that it will go away...following a read of the stickys on this forum I'm now doubtful of that.
Two things which may influence your replies/my next move:
-My friend gave me an in date and time parking ticket that he paid for that day which has the date and time and location etc which didn't expire till the next day.
-I no longer own this car, I sold it a month ago.
My question is simply to ask for advice on what to do next bearing in mind I have this ticket from the day in question which I could say simply blew off the dash board, or do I continue to ignore all contact from these companies as I have not acknowledged anything yet? Or is there a better way of dealing with this?
As mentioned I have read the stickys and don't quite think i've found what I'm looking for.
Cheers

sounds like a debt recovery letter to me, seem to remember seeing it discussed several times already
and debt recovery is certainly a topic in the NEWBIES sticky thread here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822
if this was england or wales then it was stupid to ignore the letters , just because they are not recorded delivery, POFA 2012 makes the keeper liable no matter what delivery method is used0 -
cheers, I'll check that out.0

This is the stuff i've previously read and couldn't seem to find an answer. If i was to acknowledge this is there anything to stop me saying I didn't recieve any previous letters and say something along the lines of "Here the parking ticket, it must have slipped off the dash"?0

I just used the search word PINK using the forum search tool in the green banner near the top of this forum and got several "hits" with threads of a similar nature , including this ICC LEGAL SERVICES
suggest you do the same and have a read
you can use various search words to find similar cases to your own
the PPC probably use proof of posting which is deemed as delivered 2 days later, so I dont think you throwing away letters, or denying your received them will hold any sway , they probably get that excuse a million times a week !0 -
I would not advocate deceit to get out of a parking charge, less so asking on a public forum whether using another person's ticket is a good idea!
The main theme here is that all the parking charges are built on iffy interpretations of law so there is no need to lie to get out of any substantial charge. Follow the advice here, and you can unpick your situation without any need to lie which may come back and bite you later.0 -
cheers. With it being 4-5 months ago what advice should I follow? The stickys only inform you of what to do right from the day of the ticket. I certianly don't have the £110 to pay the fine as I didn't have the initial 50p to pay the parking in the first place.
A friend of mine claims he got a similar "fine" 10 months ago and has ignored all letters and signed for letters and has had no repercussions.0 -

No they don't. Post #4 of the sticky is all about debt collector stage. And what to do if 'too late to appeal' is covered there too in the NEWBIES thread.
It is not a fine. As suggested by Redx, have you searched this forum using the heading next to forum tools on page one, for the keyword 'pink' to read about the letter chain?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

Ignore is still an option for some PPCs, but others are quite litigious.
Somewhere on this forum there is a link to a Word document that shows how many court claims each PPC has raised between Oct 1st 2012 and Sept 30th 2013. if you find this you could check to see how litigious this PPC is.0 -
I'm unsure if im looking at the right sticky. i cant copy and paste the link with me being a new user...is it the one started by you coupon-mad?0
