    I just phoned them up the other day when the chicken I had bought had gone off. They sent me a £10 gift voucher in the post.

    I don't mind going tomorrow, it's not too far and I can get some other things I need, I'm happy if they just exchange it...


    I also got a chicken last week which I did roasted and then on a chicken pie, and it was really good.

    This happens with meat which is sealed by vacuum packing. Big operators gas-flush meat in plastic trays to avoid this happening. I personally wouldn't worry about it, but if you are unsure by all means take it back. Sounds like they have a generous returns policy.
