I used to get that a lot when I had a Microsoft mouse with a physical ball underneath and a scroll wheel on top. The ball would gather dust and fluff from the mouse mat inside the mouse where it would accumulate and interfere with the optics of the scroll wheel.
My solution was to regularly remove the hatch underneath the mouse releasing the ball ... clean the ball and clean inside the mouse with tweezers and an air blower.
I use an optical mouse without a ball now and no further problems... DaveHappily retired and enjoying my 14th year of leisureI am cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.Bring me sunshine in your smile0 -
What kind of Monitor?
Is it a flatscreen or an old style cathode type? What size screen, what make/model, how old?
Suggest you check all connections leading to and from the PC and monitor for security, is your connection VGA or HDMI?I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.
