sat nav

I'm going away for a week and am hireing a car. I need to buy a sat nav that I will send for this trip. I only want to spend 40 pound or less. Not amazon or eBay tho...

Depending on what type of mobile phone you have (or iPod/iPad) you might be able to download Waze. It's a brilliant free sat nav app. I've used it many times over the last 18 months or so & it's been great! Occasionally takes me a slightly longer route but hasn't let me down yet. And it's free!!! (Or was when I downloaded it!) :T

Call me old-fashioned, but what's wrong with a map ? Even buying both a bog-standard road atlas + an A-Z of the town you're visiting will be somewhat cheaper than a satnav :)

Navfree is pretty good for Android and for a free app. You'll need a decent car charger for your phone though.
