Morning all,
bother, just lost a long post - so shall send hugs all round, and sympathy to Snoozer: been there and it was awful!

I've had an interesting morning - call from the dog-sitting franchisee at about 09:30; due to unforeseen circumstances, (ie he had to pull the dogs out of their host's place in short order - long story) he had two little Cairn Terriers with him, who are not due to go back to their owner til 15:00 this afternoon; not practical for him to trail them round with him while he picks up and delivers dogs to/from hosts and owners all day, so could I do him a HUGE favour and have them for 5 hours or so? So I have Rocky and Jack curled up either side of me on the sofa.:o
Rocky's elderly, showing mild signs of dementia, and tiddles the whole time; Jack's a nosy little wotnot who likes climbing all over the furniture.:D But they're very sweet; they had a good run round the garden (and a bark at the squirrel) and are now settled quite comfortably. I have the patio door unlocked so Rocky can be boosted outside quickly if necessary. He's on Metacam, and it's making his bladder work overtime.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I am sooo excited this morning, my neighbour was dismantling his greenhouse and DH just got home from work and saw it, he offered to help him and asked why he was taking it down, they said that they were going to take it to the tip :eek::eek:
Well DH is as preptastic and frugal as us on here so he said Burrefry wants a greenhouse, so neighbour said then she is welcome to it :A DS is not at college today so the three of them took one of the fence panels out and brought it through the garden and now I can start looking at getting some seeds sown because they have a nice shelter. :j
Hester as you say F*** 'em, I hope that you are keeping a diary of all that has been going on. How many appraisals are you having in a year?
Snoozer (((Hugs)))
Just had another call from the diabetic clinic checking up on meBG is starting to go down so not too worried.
DS just cleaned out the fire so I am off to light it and get warmed up.
BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Afternoon all,
Feeling a bit brighter, I've decided to get on with it. I'm over stressing about my leg. I'm doing the best I can, if it doesn't bend 90% then it doesn't I can't do any more.
A visit from mum and dad this afternoon which I'm looking forward to. I'm up and tidied and even had a shower and put some make up on:eek: get me:o
Hubby should be home around three
Tea tonight chippy so I don't have to cook.
So sorry for all of you living in areas of bad weather. We have been very lucky in the North west not too bad at all. It looked dreadful in the South west on the news last night. My thoughts are with anyone affected.
Off to do my exercises. Bye for now xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Afternoon all,
What a c**p day! It's pouring here and windy. Fella came to service my stairlifts, and of course outside one isn't working:mad: It always does this when it gets damp, as soon as it's dried out it works! Anyway, he's done indoors so that's done for another year.
MIL is still here:A Doctor thinks she will be gone soon. She hasn't drunk anything for four days, so hopefully it won't be much longer. The strain is really getting to OH.
I am at Kings College Hospital tomorrow to see my consultant. He will be talking about chemo as a precaution, but I'm not having any of it thank you.:(
Decided to do a chow mein for dinner. Noodles, spam (!) carrots, peas and sweetcorn with a stir fry sauce. Using up what I've got.
Snoozer DD is a nurse and she had one elderly lady who had had no visitors die on her ward. That afternoon, TEN children turned up:mad: Not one had been to see her when she was alive.:o
Have a good day all, stay warm and dry.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

HUGE HUGS ALL ROUND XXX
Sorry for my lack of posts - life is so very chaotic and very stressy. Anyway day in bed today as my head is terrible with all these highs and lows - Hubby has a mini weather station and it is up and down like nothing on earth. It affects the pressure in my head.
I have just seen picture on TV of flooding near Hester so please keep safe and two fingers to your employers xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Back and in a better mood - my fault I lost the post and all
Another 2lbs down last night, DH lost 3lbs. Onwards and downwards
To those who asked where we are going - Luxor again at last, funded from the money that was going to pay for last year and the year before which were cancelled as DH was ill. GP is happy he can travel, so we are going in 4 weeks.
Had quite a time collecting insurance quotes as we have a selection of pre-existing conditions. Let's just say that the results were ... ouch:eek:. We ended up with an annual policy as DH couldn't face doing all this again if we can find a bargain later in the year.
I keep pinching myself - surely nothing can go wrong again.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Afternoon all
People at work are starting to discuss their appraisals, one colleague had a comment on hers about a mistake she made in 2012, !!!!!!, it wasn't a big mistake, just a typo that was spotted before the document went out! I'm making copious notes & keeping a diary, as someone said, my appraisal is more like a character assassination, lol.
I'm having a relaxing evening, mainly knitting & watching TV.
Have a good evening everyone.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -

Just popped in before sticking the veg on. Roast tonight
Hope those of you in the badly hit weather areas are managing ok.
Hester - sometimes you have to tell it like it is.
Not much going on today, just the usual work and bits n bobs.
Enjoy your evenings.0
