Bit of a general question.......for people with knowledge of the local area

If you could live anywhere within a 15 miles radius of Rugby where would it be.... (leamimgton spa is too expensive)

I about 275000 pounds to spend and need to be near my son.

........ i think either Daventry or Lutterworth - but like i said not up on lacal area that much

anyway - thanks if anybody can help

I live in Rugby and in fact have just sold my own house in Bilton (not the Overslade area), the Shakespeare Gardens area! Dunchurch is a nice village but compared to Rugby is slightly more expensive. There are numerous properties in your price range in Cawston, which is a new expanding estate on the west of the town on the way to leamington Spa.

I would definately stay clear of the estate north of Brownsover called Coton Meadows, as there is talk of a Dog Food Factory being built, which in turn has prompted a rush to sell houses before the planning permission is granted/refused. Evidently these places can be rather smelly!

    Hi there

Avoid Long Lawford - dominated by cement works
  • I live in Rugby and there are loads of pretty villages within your desired location - perhaps the best bet would be to visit Rugby and see what the local estate agents have? Even if you don't like the properties on offer it might give you an idea or two as to which places might suit you more than others? As has been mentioned, Dunchurch is lovely, but as you head out towards Leamington there are plenty of lovely villages, all of which are definitely worth a look. Alternatively head past Lutterworth and again there are lots of options in the countryside. Good luck!

Well that explains something! We had someone here a few weeks ago, in that exact location who was having trouble selling!
