Chrome-Firefox bookmarks probable stupid question

Options
I have downloaded firefox and imported my google chrome bookmarks to it.
If I uninstall chrome, will the imported bookmarks in firefox be deleted?
The reason why I ask is that chrome has stopped working, with downloading proxy script or resolving host and unable to access network or this webpage is not available showing.
I haven't found a solution to it. I have tried a few things suggested on the internet(clear cache, history etc, tick and untick a few things) but it didn't work. I did notice as well a drop in my broadband speed (fibre, wireless on samsung NC10). I used to have 20Mb, now I have about 7Mb download. I don't know if the drop in speed is related to the chrome problem or not.
It is not my router, as my wired desktop computer shows the right speed for a wired connection. (35Mb).
I just don't want to loose my bookmarks as I have been using chrome for a long time, but now I get a bit tired of updates messing things up all the time in chrome, I usually used to find solutions on the net before, but now it seems that I am stuck.

Import is a one-off function, and means what it says: it takes the bookmarks/favourites from "the other" browser and copies them into "the current" browser.

Any changes made to the other browser in the future will not be reflected in the current browser, and that includes bookmark/favourites deletion.

What would happen with a complete uninstall of Chrome with regard to bookmarks, I'm afraid you'll have to research yourself (or maybe another poster will assist).
Me, I got cheesed off by the proliferation of chrome.exe tasks for every tab I opened, and ditched it!

Ah, that explains what I saw recently. When I opened task manager, I saw that there were numerous instances of chrome.exe open. So they're one per tab? Wierd. But is that really a problem?

It is, if you find that multiple instances muddies the waters for something you are trying to find! It strikes me as a poor design feature (although it does limit what can crash, allegedly).

I have my chrome bookmarks backed up with google. No matter where i install it as soon as i log in all of my bookmarks are back. I belive it is just a case of logging into your google account and it sorts it. (Although i could be wrong on the settings)
