Could MSE suggest a phone number to ring from networks other than BT?
BT customer service is contactable from such phones on 0800 800150. However, you then get to talk to a machine that won't put you through unless you can tell it your BT phone number!0 -
Okay, finally got through by putting my old BT number in.
The number for refunds is 0800 202 82 44.
They refused to refund me, as I was unable to tell them the date, (in 2012!) that I used the service from my PAYG Orange mobile.0 -
I hadn't checked my last bill until today and found I had been charged twice at £7.77 and once at £10.16 for calling 118 500 in July.
I did NOT know I could be charged at a premium rate.
I thought its was part of BT as adverts and Google suggested.
I called and complained to BT and was told
" You dialled from your phoned so its your responsibility to find out prices of calls before you call them"
They gave me a complaint ref No telling me that they will deal with it as soon as.
I can only think of one word to say to that, but I'm a lady so won't.
I have a medical condition that gets worse through worry and confrontation so this is not helping.
If I could move from BT I would be have been told that to get out of my contract I'd need to pay £176.35
Has anyone had a similar experience as this.
