Halifax/Llyods Credit Card

Hello,
I have a Halifax Clarity card that I use for travelling. I noticed Halifax are doing a 15month 0.8% balance transfer card which would suit me. I asked in branch about it and was told I can't have two credit cards at the same time with Halifax.
Llyods are doing the exact same card, same deal and I was wondering does the above still apply seeing as they are the same?
Thanks in advance

usually you can't BT from between 2 cards with the same provider. There is a link on here somewhere which explains who is part of which banking group - you then need to find a card with a decent deal from a different group.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

Thanks for your reply.
I understand I can't BT between same card providers but I couldn't get the Halifax card because I already have a Halifax Clarity card. I was wondering if this also applies to the Llyods card? Because Halifax/Llyods are the same group does this also mean I can't have a Llyods card because I already have a Halifax card?
Hope thats clear.0 -
You can have a Lloyds card, but you won't be able to BT to it from the Halifax card.
However, BTs in the opposite direction will work.0 -
I'm not 100% sure on this, but I'm pretty sure that you cannot shift debt from one brand within Lloyds Banking Group to another to take advantage of BT offers.DEBT FREE!
Debt free by Xmas 2014: £3555.67/£4805.67 (73.99%)
Debt free by Xmas 2015: £1250/£1250 (100.00%)0 -

This is correct but Halifax permits you to BT from a Lloyds card0 -
Do TSB have an equivalent? They're out of the group now technically right? (even if they do use the same systems...)0

Nope, still part of LBG until floated / sold...Do TSB have an equivalent? They're out of the group now technically right? (even if they do use the same systems...)This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I don't necessarily interpret this as you having a balance on your Halifax card if you just use that for travelling?? Anyway, you can get the Lloyds card, so if you want to transfer from someone else e.g. Barclaycard, MBNA, Natwest, you could do so.0
