whitening toothpaste recommendation?

Please can someone recommend good and not expensive whitening toothpaste which really clean and white the teeth. I don't mind getting unbranded one as long as it does the job properly. Thank you

Absolutely no toothpastes whiten teeth . Full stop. However some toothpastes remove staining and they do this by being abrasive, so they should be used sparingly as what will remove stain will also wear away healthy enamel as well. Pearl drops is one of the worst offenders with a very high abrasive index and many dentists have seen irreversible damage from using this.

Independent research shows time and time again toothpastes do not whiten ignore the adverts.
  • There's no toothpaste in the market which can provide you whiter teeth. Getting whiter teeth involves lots of efforts and care.

1.You should brush your teeth after every meal.
2.Regular flossing keeps you away from plaque buildup in your teeth and gums.
3.Avoid consumption of tea, coffee and wine.
    4.Regular dental cleaning and scaling.

These 4 tips surely help you to maintain a good oral hygiene as well as whiten teeth.

YES!! These are the main things for keeping your teeth and gums healthy and if you smoke stop as that is a big offender for staining teeth too (as well as skin/hair and being all round bad for health).

I have found that using Colgate toothpaste is best and they do have whitening ones which recommend you brush 3 times a day and follow the above 4 tips, it has worked for on mine. Remember though that sometimes it is better to have a healthy mouth than sparkling white teeth!!

Some you tubers advocate lemon juice mixed with bicarbonate of soda but I'm not sure if this is wise...

Acid and abrasive! Indeed that is not good!

A cocktail like that would eat through the enamel in no time.
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.
