This probably sounds like a stupid question, but what exactly does winter sport cover give you? We are going to Lapland and will be dog sleighing and going on snowmobiles - would normal travel insurance cover us, or would we need to take out cover for winter sports...?
Hope someone will know!

Have a look at a couple of policies and see if they cover you for what you're doing.Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0

These http://www.swiftcover.com/travelinsurance/policy/definitions/ refer to snowmobiling as winter sport, so looks like YES.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

For snowmobiling definitely, yes, either wintersports or dangerous sports, depending on policy wording.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

Thanks for your replies, ended up cheapest option was to take out a standard policy without winter sport, and then pay an additional amount to include snowmobiling.I don't think I can hang on til Friday...0
