Do we need winter sport cover to go to Lapland?

This probably sounds like a stupid question, but what exactly does winter sport cover give you? We are going to Lapland and will be dog sleighing and going on snowmobiles - would normal travel insurance cover us, or would we need to take out cover for winter sports...?

Have a look at a couple of policies and see if they cover you for what you're doing.

For snowmobiling definitely, yes, either wintersports or dangerous sports, depending on policy wording.

Thanks for your replies, ended up cheapest option was to take out a standard policy without winter sport, and then pay an additional amount to include snowmobiling.
