Iphone options screen help please

Hope someone can help me with this, when I am on the internet on my iphone trying to scroll, my fat little fingers keep dragging up the 'options page' (don't even know the correct name but it the screen that offers tools and airdrop ect) is there anyway of turning this screen off? Thank you
