Financial Settlement

Hi,
Me and my wife separated 8 months ago, she moved out of the house and is now looking for a financial settlement between us. We have two young children and have a 50/50 custody agreement. We are still married, and have no plans to rush a divorce through.
Does anyone know if a legally binding financial settlement exists which would enable me to buy her out, before going through divorce?
If it does exist, will she still be able to try and claim against me when we eventually do get divorced?
Thanks for reading and for any advice
Andy

I believe you can get a separation agreement drawn up (by solicitors) which divides up assets. This will then be used as the basis for the final financial settlement when you do get divorced (although I'm guessing that it's possible to challenge it later down the line, not sure how successful that would be though).0

I would consider getting divorced sooner rather than later though... much easier now than if/when new partners are involved.
