Npower problems (yet again)
Hi there my dear MSEFMs,
I've noticed that we have Npower company representative on this Forum who's been kind enough to offer his help to MSE Forum members who were experiencing problems with Npower. Well, I'm one of them :eek:
I've been stuck on a wrong tariff since August 2013 (!!) and I'm well, well past 8 weeks complaint deadline.
Help needed big time...

“Official Company Representative"
I am the official company representative of nPower. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE.
If we ask you to contact us, please do so using helpandsupport@npower.com - MSE Forum has temporarily allowed the display of our contact details in our signature due to a technical issue with our profile0 -
I also have never received a bill in over a year and also no longer with Npower, yet they have all my money sitting in credit on my account even though I know I only used half the amount.0

I am very conflicted regarding npower, feel so sorry for the call centre ops who take the brunt of reaction to this companies sharp practise,i'm a very low energy user and my last bill represented an over 100% hike in my suggested direct debit payment, not going to happen!lookslike i'll be back in anger management classes after my next call, they don't seemto get that you can't treat customers this way!0

I agree with you mortimer1458 - Npower changed my direct debit amount and debited my account without ANY written notice. What's that all about?!*Reclaimed £110 remortgage fees :j

I suggest you do attend those anger management classes.
Many moons ago when I worked in a call centre for an energy firm, I couldn't believe some of the abuse people put up with. I used to give customers one warning if they raised their voice/swore, next time they would just get the dialling tone.
Most decent people wouldn't hurl abuse at people in their place of work, why should call centre staff be treated differently?
*edit: this is not in any way an exaltation of npower's clearly awful computer system0 -
Thanks, David.
I just sent my e-mail to helpandsupport@npower.com. Hopefully that's the right e-mail address.
Fingers crossed now.
