energy supplier made offer now claim it was a typo

Having switched energy suppliers last august the new supplier has made a complete mess of the direct debits.
They offered £100 compensation they then offered to increase this offer to £1250.00.
I of course accepted their offer only to be told it was a typo and should have read £125.
Any thoughts on how binding their original offer is?

Probably not at all, I would expect them to have got such errors covered somewhere in their T&Cs.0

If their T&Cs include E&OE then you can whistle (as per above).
E&OE means Errors & Omissions Excluded, which gives them a back-out if they make an error (which this most certainly was ... there's no way they'd increase from £100 to £1250!)0
