First Time Buyer - Help & Advice Please

Yes go low I went in at 5 % below recently and had to increase my offer but not by much. Most people offer 5-10% below to start.
It sounds like your original property is a little out of your price range - potentially VERY stressful on your relationship!
BUT on the positive side you are first time buyers and you can move fast if you find a property especially when the vendor is desperate to move.
If you can choose a house that is not imaculate you can haggle the price down and paint it spruce it up at a later date its not the final house you will ever buy ,,,make it suit your tastes and you get bonus salary rises etc.
PS Just be careful of Gazumpers get in there with a low offer but if a sale is agreed get them to agree to take it off the market asap!!!!!
