    Dear Snowpup,

Thank you very much for taking the time to send me your email.

Our appointed emergency service is Emergency Assistance Facilities, so I will be discussing this case with them. As there are multiple agencies involved in this case, I’m sure you can appreciate that it may take me a short time to get a complete update.

We cannot discuss details of on-going cases in an open forum like this, however please leave this with me and I will investigate. In the meantime, please feel free to keep asking for advice on this forum, or email me directly at the Holidaysafe address you used this morning.

Once again I would like to apologise for the stress and inconvenience that this situation has caused you.

    Kind regards,

    Amber.
Thanks Amber. I trust you will look into this in detail, and I hope you manage to find all the relevant information that will help to resolve this case, and let us stop worrying about this.
    many thanks,
    Snowpup

This all seems to revolve around Public v Private. So, perhaps the issue is that when the hospital were liaising with the insurers it was never made clear that it was a private Hospital? However, a reasonable and competent insurer would have made that one of their first questions as part of the initial conversation they had regarding this matter.

Looks like a c0ck up between the insurer and hospital that the insured is getting the grief over.

Well, the development today is that the insurers have called me to reassure me that they are going to look into this case, so that should be positive. It could take a few days for them to find out everything they need to know. I have asked them to contact Erica at the hospital, who dealt with the Emergency Assistance Facilities, and I am hopeful that after they have done this some missing piece of paperwork will come to light. I am certain that Erica received confirmation from the company that the hospital would be paid by our insurers. A lot of paperwork was faxed backwards and forwards, and she spent a lot of time on the phone. I will let you all know of any developments.

Glad to hear it is being looked at just now, hopefully will work out well and without much further delay and stress.

I guess it was the language barrier etc that must have resulted in your husband being whisked off without you, I guess they were just concentrating on him and not really communicating with you. Must have been quite stressful. I also hadn't realised you went to the hospital an hour later, I had thought you just went next day - so that also makes clearer that you were there to deal with any questions which they should have been asking at the time rather than this all happening now!

Good luck with it all, sounds like it will hopefully be resolved.
