Short wedding dresses

I have been asked to help find a short wedding dress, Bride is having a destination wedding and doesn't want a long dress.

Any ideas please?

Would the bride be open to the idea of a 50s style wedding dress? That would be the easiest way of finding them. These are the shops that spring to mind:

What's the budget? Vivien of Holloway as suggested further up the thread is £89-120, whereas Fairygothmother seems to be closer to £800-1500 (although the dresses are gorgeous!)

I'm thinking of having a short dress and am looking at Candy Anthony: http://candyanthony.com/ but again it's not the cheapest. Or for something at the more budget end of the spectrum Kitty & Dulcie does short retro dresses for around the £300 mark: http://www.kittyanddulcie.com/

ETA: If the bride's in London it might also be worth trying David's Bridal in Westfield Stratford, they have quite a few short dresses and they're pretty reasonably priced (£80-200).

I was in Coast yesterday and they have some beautiful short dresses. They even had a white trouser suit that was gorgeous.

I have never worn dresses that flatter my figure so well as theirs - always feel gorgeous in them, and I've got fatter/skinnier/taller/shorter/bustier (tho sadly not hippier) friends who all say the same - can't go wrong!
